1:00 - 2:30pm with Taina Rodriguez ($12 - free for members) Achieving Happiness through Love and Compassion
Every moment of our lives, even while we're dreaming, we're wishing to be happy and free from problems but we haven't yet figured out how to make this happen. We keep thinking that the way to fulfill these two wishes is to put ourselves first while neglecting the happiness and freedom of others. According to Buddha this self-centered perspective is the very source of all of our problems and it's preventing us from enjoying the happiness that comes from a loving, compassionate heart. In this series we will train in a sequence of meditations intended to help us let go of our painful self-centered tendencies and to increase our love and compassion, the causes of happiness and enlightenment. back to top
